What was Arky built for?

Organizing your thoughts isn’t always easy

Thinking clearly is hard. And structuring ideas, planning strategically, or making sense of complex topics? Even harder.

I'm Minseo, the founder of Arky—a tool I created out of my own frustration with structuring messy thoughts.

I've always thought in layers, juggling many interconnected pieces at once. Whether preparing a slide deck, crafting a strategic plan, or writing an in-depth report, I’d start by sketching a rough structure. I'd then pull in scattered ideas, references, PDFs, and links to fill in the gaps. But each time, I'd inevitably hit a wall. The process always felt heavier than necessary.

Tools like Notion or Word made it hard to work with messy, evolving content. Once things piled up, I found myself endlessly scrolling, losing track of what I was trying to say. Canvas tools like Figma offered more visual freedom, but made it hard to organize and finalize. Even paper had the same limits.

What I truly needed was a space designed for the thinking process itself—not just a place to document final results, or a tool that stops at brainstorming, but something that could support the entire journey. Most tools were built to format, present, or archive completed ideas, not to assist you as you figured things out.

When AI came into the picture, I noticed a similar disconnect. AI was often framed merely as a tool for generating finished outcomes—but I believed it should be a partner in the thinking process. Yet most AI tools remained confined to a chat interface, never truly participating in the flow of writing and structuring ideas.

That's why I built Arky—not just another document editor, but a dedicated thinking space. Arky helps you organize thoughts, structure ideas, and work collaboratively with AI in context, real-time.

Arky Is Built for the Thinking Process

It’s not about dressing up the output — it’s about working on the core.

AI has made formatting incredibly easy. You can turn Markdown into Word docs or generate polished slides in seconds. In other words, reshaping the wrapper has become trivial.

But there’s still something only humans can do: be the reviewer.

Even if Perplexity pulls the sources or a GPT agent drafts a full document, we still have to read it, check it, and revise it. If we don’t, it’s not really our work — and it’s the kind of work that doesn’t even need us.

Arky is about building a better interface for making the core with AI — not asking AI to do it for us, but creating a space where it can work with us.

A More Flexible, More Visible Space for Thought

Why is it so hard to organize your thinking? Because your thoughts aren’t visible — you can’t clearly see or overview them.

It's like trying to do mental math with too many numbers floating in your head. Ideas, references, plans — they exist in fragments, and arranging them into structure and sequence is overwhelming.

Arky gives you a visual canvas that works seamlessly with Markdown. It’s a space where you can unload what’s in your head, gather your references, and actually see what you’re working with.

You can think more freely, sort more clearly, and structure more confidently — all in one place. Arky helps you go from scattered thoughts to structured understanding.
