Attach PDF files to your workspace and bring key information directly onto your canvas — with automatic citations.
Attaching a PDF
- Open the Attachment tab in the right sidebar.
- Upload a PDF file.
- The PDF viewer opens inline, ready for you to explore.
Tools
Two tools are available when working with an attached PDF:
Text tool
Drag over text in the PDF to select a passage. Use this tool to work with text content in the document.
Capture tool
Draw a rectangular selection over any area of the PDF — diagrams, charts, images, or mixed content. Use this tool to grab visual regions as images.
Highlight
With the Text tool, you can highlight selected text with a color to mark important sections for later reference. Highlights are saved and persist across sessions.
Drag & drop to canvas
Drag your selection onto the canvas to bring content from the PDF directly into your workspace.
- With the Text tool, a new text block is created with the extracted text.
- With the Capture tool, the captured region is placed as an image block.
A citation linking back to the source PDF, page number, and location is automatically appended to every block you bring onto the canvas.
